Might make fighting with her problematic, though. Was it just your dress that could do the whole bit with turning into blades, or was that you?

That, at least, is not a problem. My power is spatial manipulation, Mr. Watcher, and even a gaudy dress exists in the same space as everything else.

Do you expect this will last to Halloween, then?

It's October, the place is covered in jack o' lanterns, and half the town is being forced to wear silly costumes.

I am not an idiot. This is obviously meant to coincide with Halloween, yes.

One, unfortunately, is more likely than the other.

The former. I am not nearly optimistic enough to hope for the latter.

It's not exactly hard to imagine anyone in such a garment. That's sort of the point, isn't it?

Honestly, at the least they could have given us masks.

No, that would have quite interfered with their intention of humiliating us.

Or far too little. A good bit of the village has been staying out of sight, but from what I've heard they'll happily solve that problem with the droids.

*This face. Rachel does not have fond memories of the droids.* Oh, the indignities we must suffer in this place before we burn it to the ground.

[Yeah, neither does Giles] Actually, someone has suggested we start a bonfire with the costumes once we're allowed to take them off.

*At least he didn't get stabbed by them. Just... beaten a bit.* I am not entirely opposed to the idea.

[And have his glasses broken] Excellent. Spread the word. If they don't disappear after things settle down, we'll make a night of it.

If they do disappear, I certainly won't be complaining.

Well, we can safely assume that this will last until Halloween. After that, there's no experiments for another month and no costume related holidays for at least another two.

I feel relatively safe.
