She pauses, but the girl's voice is gone as suddenly as it appeared. And from all she can tell, the girl hasn't said a word since she spotted her. Still, she gives Rachel a small smile of greeting.]

It's strange... this is almost exactly where I woke up when I first arrived here as well.

Perhaps there is something particularly compelling about Kagutsuchi, then. Or perhaps it was simply the caprice of fortune.

I have to admit, I've been wondering about that myself. I think it must be something about Kagutsuchi, but... well, I don't exactly have any solid proof.

[But that's really beside the point. For now, they're all trapped here, regardless of why. May as well make the best of it.]

I fail to see a reason to hurry ourselves needlessly. Humanity's inherited fear of the night is irrational and childish.

Perhaps, but I'm afraid my night vision is really pretty poor. As much as I'd like to say we could take our time, I really don't think I'd be able to see well enough to get us back safely.
