[Voice]

*The journal starts picking up the sounds of a fight in progress, as if someone had dropped their journal accidentally.*  Noel, get back!

*Then, odd whooshes of air and the sound of metal striking metal - but they're interrupted by a crack of thunder. There's silence for a few moments, and then a second, louder clap of thunder, followed shortly by the sound of furniture breaking and another voice - some might recognize it as Noel Vermillion - shouting.*  Rachel! Ahh...

*Silence, interrupted only by the sound of metal footsteps. But then the first voice speaks again, though it seems slightly weaker.* You dare...?! Do... not turn your backs... on me...!

Baden Baden Lil--

*The speaker is suddenly cut off, and the journal is splattered by little crimson droplets, as though someone was writing in it. There's a thump and the sound of something - or someone - being dragged away, and then silence. The feed cuts out.*

[Action]

*Where are you? What are you doing? It doesn't matter, because there's a young girl dressed in a frilly gothic lolita dress teleporting near to you with a shower of roses. She looks rather beaten-up, and is clutching a bleeding wound at her stomach.

Needless to say, Rachel does not look happy. This wasn't where she wanted to end up.*

((OOC: So, Rachel tried to get some revenge on the Malnosso by attacking the droids coming to kidnap Noel. She failed spectacularly. So she's wounded, unable to focus on her teleportation, and she's taken a heavy blow to her pride. This won't end well.))

I w-warned you. [Giles hurries over to hold Rachel off the wall. He tries to guide her to a chair] You r-really tried fighting them?!

*She tries to pull away, but she's really in no condition for that. So she's in the chair for now.* Of course... one's pride demands it. Nor was I.. their target.

[Right. In the chair. The look on Giles' face plainly says "stay in the goddamn chair, Rachel. He hurries off into the bathroom and comes out with a first aid kit.]

The frightening part is that I believe you.

You weren't the target? You just took it into your head to attack them? [He does not sound pleased]

[redstringed]

*She takes a shallow breath.* If you had the... opportunity... to strike back at our captors... would you not take it?

They were... to kidnap an acquaintance. *Another breath.*

[Bandages, antiseptic, Giles has had way too much practice at this. He goes to work trying to stop the bleeding]

I would, yes. [But you're a vampire, Rachel, and he's a squishy human]

...it's good that you were trying to help a friend.

[redstringed]

Ha... do not think me so... sentimental. I merely wished to destroy them. *She pulls away from his hands.* D-did you not hear me?! I merely require rest, and I need... no one's aid!

[Giles snaps back] You're bleeding. All over my chair, might I add.

[redstringed]

*Grimaces.* Since when... has blood ever troubled a vampire?

A towel, then.

It troubles me, and it's my apartment you landed in.

[But Rachel's voice shakes him off autopilot. The closet's nearby - he grabs a towel out of it and tosses it to her before heading back to the chair]

Not by choice, I assure you. *She'll wrap the towel around the entrance and exit wounds on her front and back. Hopefully that'll help put Giles at ease.*

[It does. Just a bit. Giles sits down by the chair with a sigh]

So. Do any damage?

[redstringed]

*No, she didn't. And that stings more than a wound ever could.* ...lightning will slow them down.

Yes, I heard as much from Catherine. Being robotic, I suppose that would be the...

[redstringed]

*Another deep breath, good lord that's painful.* Yes, I can. And wind, as well.

Is that another of your abilities. Like teleporting? [He's surprised to realize that he really doesn't like the sound of Rachel in pain, and holds up the bottle of painkillers for her to see]

[redstringed]

*She nods.* It is. *Her normal longwindedness really isn't very feasible right now. Though at the painkillers, she grits her teeth and shakes her head. Her pride is battered, but it is on the line right now.*

[Have it your own way, then, Rachel. Away the painkillers go.]

I suppose everyone is entitled to some reckless idiocy now and again.

Not at all. I merely... know what I am capable of healing from. On my own. *Is it obvious that she's taken a serious bruising to her ego, Giles? It might be obvious.*

*A pause, and she looks away.* ...knowledge would not have changed the outcome.

[Then, brusquely] Anyway. Lightning is a good place to start. I have that from one of the Organization.

[redstringed]

*She shifts uncomfortably in the seat.* It is. ...they were able to reflect my weaker attacks, and my strongest spell one was ... interrupted. *She glances down at her stab wound.*

Yes, well.

[He glances at the stab wound, as well - he'd ask if she's all right, but he's pretty sure what the answer would be]

[And Giles is off into the kitchen. Rachel can hear him rummaging around, the sound of water being carefully poured and set on the stove. Giles stays in the kitchen to wait for it to boil, however]
